Hotaeg Lee 박해 때문에 다른 나라로 피난하여 자신의 나라로 돌아갈 수 없는 사람들을 난민이라고 합니다.
난민문제, 아직 우리에게 생소한 문제이지만 더 이상 먼 나라의 이야기가 아닙니다.
세계에는 3000만의 난민이 있고 한국에도 네팔, 중국, 버마, 나이지리아, 우간다, 콩고, 코트디브와르, 방글라데시,
에티오피아 등 세계 각지에서 온 2천명이 넘는 난민신청자들이 있습니다.
그리고 중국에는 10만의 우리동포 탈북자들이 난민으로 유리하고 있습니다.

피난처는 재한 난민들을 중심으로 난민에게 피난처를 제공하는 국내 유일의 난민지원전문단체입니다.
난민들이 어렵고 힘든 환란의 시간을 보내는 것은 저주가 아니요 하나님의 특별하신 목적을 위하여 부름 받은 훈련의 과정입니다. 또한 난민들이 우리 곁에 있다는 것은 부담이 아니요 사랑과 기적을 나눌 축복의 기회입니다.
10대 경제대국 대한민국의 국민이 된 우리는 이제 발전된 위상에 걸맞게 국제사회에서 감당하여야 할 역할과 책임이 있습니다. 난민보호는 국제사회의 의무이자 인권과 문화를 나누는 축복입니다.

Refugees are the people who flee into another country because of persecution and then are unable to return to their country of nationality.
The refugee problem is not a familiar issue yet in Korea, but this matter is no longer distant from us.
There are approximately 30,000,000 refugees around the world and around 3,000 asylum seekers in korea who came from various countries, such as Nepal, China, Burma, Nigeria, Uganda, Congo, Cote d'Ivoir, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, etc.
Also in China, 100,000 North Korean defectors are left as refugees.
The Refuge P Nan is a Christian NGO which shares our abilities and talents given from God for helping those who are suffering. And we provide shelter to refugees.
Refugees suffer difficult and painful time. This is not a curse but it is the process of training for God's special purpose.
Also it is not a burden that refugees are with us. This gives us the opportunity of blessing to share our love and miracle.
Now Korea is already the country of 10th economic power in the world.
Therefore we, as korean people, should bear the responsibility and role that are proportional to Korea's advanced phase.
Refugee protection is a blessing that we can share our human right and culture. It is also a duty of the international community.
